Ink and Laminant Snob!

OK, really!  I am on my third set of ink cartridges since July!  Every trip to the office supply store is over $60.00 for ink!  Dear hubby says nothing, but I can see it on his face:(  I remember reading a post over the summer about a blogger who buys really cheap ink on Amazon.  So, I headed over to check it out today and ordered the "Compatible Cartridge ink" for only $9.99 for the 3 colored and 1 black.  (insert GASP!)
Am I crazy, am I going to ruin my beloved printer?  I read the reviews and heard many good and some bad.  Hmmm....  Any thoughts, comments, suggestions from blogland?

Then while at Amazon, I ordered Laminating Pouches for my home laminator.  I actually bought it last year and never used it (OK, maybe once!).  SO-as I am often a Sunday planner (don't judge) I have started printing my TpT purchased and made (yes, by me!) centers.  Now, I want to laminate everything with this as it is so thick! The Amazon price was $4.00 less than a certain office supply store and was 100 pouches instead of 20! SCORE!

I do still put lots of things through at school...but its not the same.  I store my centers in large  envelopes and they don't fit through my laminator.   Here's a sneak peek at what's laminated and ready to go for this week.

Ok, maybe now I don't feel so bad!

Now, don't forget to enter my Marianne Berkes giveaway for a free, autographed book called Animalology!  Check it out HERE! You will love her books if you haven't read them and they work perfectly with first grade Science curriculum.  You have until midnight tonight.

  1. I hear you on the ink! I just started buying mine at a place in the neighbourhood that refills the cartridges. MUCH cheaper!
I'm a Sunday planner, too -- ha ha:)

  2. I'm proud to be in your "laminated and ready to go" pile! Here's my secret...I have parents who are willing to print in color for me. I send them lots and lots of things each week. I also print some on my colored printer at school, and, some on my colored printer at home. I like to spread the wealth!
